God, the Son

Jesus Christ is both God and man.  He lived a perfect life and defeated death in His resurrection.  He is the only way for us to be forgiven, redeemed and restored back to relationship with the Holy Father.

{Matthew 16:13-17, John 1:14, Isaiah 53, Matthew 28:5-6, Luke 24:46-47, John 11:25-27, Romans 1:3-4, Romans 3:23-26, 2 Corinthians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 2:5-6)

God, the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit assures us of our relationship with Christ. He is our helper, reminding us of everything Christ said.  He convicts of sin and lead us in truth.  He gives us spiritual gifts and makes us more like Him.  He fills us with power to serve and to tell others about Christ.

{Luke 24:49; John 16:5-8; Acts 1:4-8;  Acts 2:1-4, 2:38-41, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11}

Man is made in the image and likeness of God, with a body, soul, and spirit.  Man was created for relationship with God but became separated from Him through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort.  Every person is uniquely created, possesses dignity and is worthy of respect and love.

{Genesis 1:26-28; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 7:14-25; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31, 6:19-20; Colossians 1:21-22}

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.  Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.  The salvation of Christ makes us new and righteous.

{John 14:6; Romans 3:24; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 4:1-5; Ephesians 2:5-8; Hebrews 11:6}

The Church

The church is a local community of believers unified through our faith in Jesus Christ.  As the church we are committed to sharing our faith and helping others strengthen their own relationship with Christ.

{Ephesians 1:22-23;  Matthew 28:19-20;  Ephesians 4:11-16;  1 Peter   1 :5-11}

Water Baptism & Communion

We believe that in order to live the holy and rich lives that God intends for us, we need to follow the example of Jesus in water baptism and communion.

{Romans 6:1-4;  Luke 22:14-20}

We believe that God wants to both heal and transform us so that we can live full, healthy lives.

{Psalm 103:1-3;  John 14:12-13;  James 5:14-15}

Man was created to exist forever and our eternal existence is determined by our response to Jesus Christ.  We will exist eternally with Him in Heaven or eternally separated from Him in hell.

{John 3:16 & 36;  Romans 6:23;  1 John 5:11-13;  Revelation 20:15}
